Our sanctuary is a special place for worship, praise, prayer and thanksgiving.
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I (God) may dwell among them. Exodus 25:8

Pastor Nathan Walter, a 4th-generation preacher, has a rich Christian heritage. In 1995, he received his preacher’s license. In 1997, he graduated from Penn View Bible Institute in Penns Creek, PA (PVBI), as a Ministerial major and began pastoring for the God’s Missionary Church conference. He and his wife, Lynnette, pastored a total of 12 1/2 years at two God's Missionary Churches in PA before coming to us in September 2011. We are eager to see what great things God will do in Bland through their ministry and leadership.

Pastor and Lynnette (Roberts) met while they were attending PVBI, and they married in 1995.

Our congregation enjoys studying God's Word in our Sunday school classes to learn more about God and His principles and how that should impact our daily living.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. Psalm 119:66
 
Brother Jack Blankenship does a great job teaching the adults.

Our Sunday school classes are small, so our teachers have time to listen to and answer our questions, ...
LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Psalm 39:4

and become our friends. Our classes are a great place to get to know God, our teachers and each other better.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10
 
Our young people contribute much to our services. We are grateful that they love Jesus and appreciate their willingness to bless our church through song leading, storytelling, music, etc.

Once a month, Sister Cheryl Gillespie updates us on Bible Methodist Missions.

We also enjoy gathering in our fellowship hall for friendly conversation, good clean fun, ...
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart. Acts 2:46

For a time, we did not have a pastor, and our parsonage was empty and quiet. We're so thankful that our parsonage is now the happy home of our pastor and his family!
Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. 2 Kings 4:10
 
We've been blessed not only with Pastor & Mrs. Walter, but also with their children: Stephanie, Rachelle, Rebecca, Susannah, and Darrin. We're delighted that God brought them to us!
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3
